Mar Menor:- The stunning Mar Menor is located in the southeast of Murcia, Costa Calida. It is a salt water lagoon with shallow warm waters and with 315 days of sunshine a year is a very popular location for families with children. Due to a maximum depth of 8 metres the water remains at a constant 18c all year. The Mar Menor is separated from the Mediterranean by a narrow strip of land only 22m wide called the La Manga del Mar Menor.

The Mar Menor is known as one of the best places in the world to learn water sports, there are currently 13 Scuba schools, 19 international sailing clubs and much much more to chose from.

The “little sea” as it is also known, is famous for its natural mud bath. This is said to help people with rheumatic or arthritic problems due to its special healing properties. You will often see people covered from head to toe in mud along the beaches of the Mar Menor.
