Most Spanish banks will usually lend up to 80% of the property value. It is however important to know that in Spain mortgages are attached to the property detailed in the escritura.

What will I need to take when applying for a Spanish mortgage?

When applying for a Spanish mortgage the procedure is the same as the UK, you will need to provide identity and proof of earnings ie,

Employed:-
Last 3 pay slips
Recent bank statement
Identification – passport

Self Employed:-
At least last 2 years accounts
A report from your accountant
Recent tax return
Bank statement
Identification - passport
